Donna Faye Polverari, daughter of Tony Longo and Louisa Mary Calcano Longa passed peacefully at Cornerstone Hospice in Minneola, FL after a long, brave battle with diabetes and kidney disease. Donna is survived by her loving wife of 47 years, Lolita Badillo, who loved and cared for her unselfishly through her most difficult times.
She is also survived by two sisters, Victoria (Polverari) Davis, Theresa Polverari and a brother, Anthony Longo, as well as several nieces, nephews, great nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her brother Armand Polverari.
Donna proudly served as an active member of the United States Marine Corps, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. During her military career she served with the JAG at MCRD and as a recruiter in Manchester, Connecticut. Upon leaving the military Donna worked as a USPS Supervisor in Hartford, CT until her retirement.
Donna enjoyed golfing, bowling, watching UCONN women Huskies basketball games, dancing and zumba classes. She loved gathering with her family. Donna was most proud of the close relationships she shared with friends and family spanning over 50 years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be offered in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Shriner's Hospital for Children.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be held at 11AM Friday, September 9, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Clermont.
Donna will be interred in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 1:30 PM.
