On Friday, September 30th Donald "Don" Harold Tracy a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather passed away peacefully at home. He was 96 years old. He was born April 1926 and raised in Osseo, Minnesota. He was a World War II Navy veteran with the rank of Fire Control Man 3rd Class. He was stationed on the USS Vella gulf from 1944 to 1946. He married his wife of 72 years Irene in 1949 and they had three children. He worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company for 31 years in Minnesota. After retiring from the telephone company in 1976, he moved to Florida and became a realtor and retired in 2012.

Don was known for his tenacity and generous heart. He was a go go go and has to be done right now personality but would always give you a thumbs up at the end. Most afternoons you could find him riding his bike on the trail and could stop by anytime around four o'clock for cocktail hour. He loved to wear his WWII veteran hat and was proud to talk to anyone about his time in the war. If you boated on the chain of lakes I'm sure you saw him waving or yelling "no wake zone" if you passed by his house. He was always so proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Don is survived by his wife Irene. Their children together: Bruce (1940-2015), Pamela and Robert. He was grandfather to eight grandchildren: Christopher, Levi, Erin, Tawni Jo, Ashley, Michelle, Michael and Matthew. He had eight great grandchildren: Rylan, Audrey, Lilian, Connor, Owen, Madelyn, Lucile and Leonardo.

Private services with honors rendered by the U.S. Navy will be held at Florida National Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers please raise a glass at 4:00 p.m. to honor a life well lived.
