Donald A. Reynolds born on July 19, 1928 in Malone NY, passed away on February 15, 2026 at the Alto Senior Living facility in Clermont, FL. He was the son of Arlington and Margurite (Little) Reynolds. Donald was a 1947 Graduate of Franklin Academy in Malone and he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served from 1949 until Honorably discharged in 1953. He was married to Clemy Kelley of Potsdam, NY in 1950 at St. Mary’s Rectory and was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years. Donald graduated with honors in 1957 from State University of NY at Oswego NY., and received his M.S. in Educational Administration & Supervision from Syracuse University. He also took Graduate courses at State University in Cortland NY and Plattsburg NY. He was an Industrial Arts teacher in Hudson Falls NY, Endwell NY, and Malone NY, retiring in 1989 after 32 years of service.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, and older brother Arlington of Minniapolis-St Paul Minnesota. He is survived by two daughters, Colleen (Angelo) Piccone of Pittsford NY, and Susan Googe of Clermont FL, and a son Donald A Reynolds Jr of Richland, MI. Also surviving are two sisters, Margurite Ladd of Bisbee, AZ, Diane Gray of Charlotte, NC and a brother Douglas (Jackie) Reynolds of Rensselaer NY. Also surviving are seven (7) Grandchildren, fifteen (15) Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.

Donald was active in the Malone Lodge of Elks having served as Exaulted Ruler in the 1971/72 lodge year and later a District VP. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution and a member of several professional organizations. His pastimes included gardening, traveling, boating, camping and was an avid hiker and walker becoming an Adirondak 46er (#1804). He was also a charter member of the Shatagee Woods chapter of the Adirondak Mountain Club serving as its first Treasurer.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held later this summer in Malone NY. Cremation will take place with remains to be interred on the family plot in Morningside Cemetery, Malone NY.
