Donald L. Milton September 5, 1932- October 10, 2014 Don Milton was a man of principle and a strong will. The youngest of eight children to a single mother, at the age of seventeen, Don served his country in The United States Marines Corps during The Korean War and was awarded the honor of The National Marine of the Year. After leaving the Marines he married Carolyn (whom he remained married to for 59 years) shortly thereafter, they had their children Donna and Matthew. Initially after leaving the Marines Don worked as a truck driver during the day and went to school at night at The University of Miami where he received his degree in Business Administration. Don worked for Eastern Airlines through the strikes, never joining the unions, and then opened his own Real Estate Brokerage company where he worked successfully for nearly 25 years. Don was a leader and a very loyal true friend who supported that hard work and discipline were the recipe for success for himself and the country. Don Milton deeply loved and sacrificed for all of his children. As a testament to the nature of Don' character he and Carole willingly and lovingly raised grandchildren keeping the family together and altering the paths of their grandchildren' lives for the better. Don also loved animals, the Ocean, a very cold beer and laughter. Don Milton was from ''The Greatest Generation'' and those who knew him knew Don was specially unique and truly A GREAT MAN. Don Milton is appreciated for his Honor as a man, his sacrifice, guidance and love. Don will be missed but Donald L. Milton will never be forgotten in the souls of his family and true friends.
