Obituary

Donald B. Fuller, age 84, passed on Thursday, October 4, 2018. Born March 31, 1934 in North Syracuse and graduated from North Syracuse High School in 1952. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps shortly after high school, during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was a life-long proud Marine. Donald obtained a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from Denver University in 1962. He worked as an electrical engineer for Kodak on the optics of satellites and was integral in the Star Wars program in the 1980's. Donald married Fran Larson in 1960 and had two children, Pam and Dave while residing in Spencerport, New York. Later, Don moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1993 and married Pat Forward (deceased). They moved to Clermont, Florida in 2002.

Despite the situation, he kept a positive attitude. Don liked to laugh, joke and sing, especially "It's Hard to be Humble".  During his last days, he was humming Zip-a-Dee-Doo-Dah while in bed. Donald was preceded in death by his parents; Dorothy and Bradley Fuller, and sister Marilyn Morgan. He is survived by his sisters; Janet Dougherty of Syracuse, NY and Doreen Ebel of Buffalo, NY, daughter Pam Fuller (Ron Lukens) of High Springs, FL, son Dave Fuller and granddaughters; Britany Fuller and Katey Dykstra of Fort Peck, MT as well as numerous nephews and nieces, along with his companion Evelyn Storz. No services will be held. A family memorial will take place next summer at Ramona Beach near Pulaski, NY, a place Don dearly loved. Both Don's generation and his children spent summers there swimming, boating, and fishing.
