Donald E. Daiss Jr

June 26, 1944 – November 20, 2021

Don, 77, passed away peacefully with his loving wife, Dianna, by his side.

Don was born June 26, 1944 to Donald and Caroline Daiss, he grew up in Ogallala, NE.  He attended college in Chadron, NE and was drafted to the US Army where he served in the 82 nd Airborne 2nd 508 from September 1967 – June 1969.  At which time he was honorably discharged.

Don married his loving wife, Dianna, on March 1, 1970.  They moved to Orlando, FL to begin their life together where they raised Kim and Shane.  Don was a heavy construction welder/fabricator, which afforded him the opportunity to work on the construction of the Magic Kingdom, WDW.  In 1977, Don moved his family overseas where they lived in Athens, Greece for 3 years while he worked on the petroleum pipeline in Saudi Arabia. When it was time to return to the US, Don took his family on a trip around the world, visiting various foreign countries. When they returned to Orlando, Don continued to work overseas in Diego Garcia, Trinidad, Louisiana and eventually retired from Walt Disney World after 28 years.  Don was an 8 year cancer survivor.

Don's faith was undeniable, a perfect example of what a disciple of Christ is. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and savior in 1985 and led a Christ filled life. He knew not one stranger and not one person walked away without knowing about his love for Jesus Christ. He instilled this with his family and grandchildren so that one day we will see him again on the other side.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, Donald E. Daiss Sr and Caroline and a daughter Annette.  He is survived by his loving wife, Dianna, daughter Kimberly (Benny) Romero, son Shane (Christy) Daiss, grandchildren Briana, Casey, Jaden, Thalia, Brock, sister Debby Sawyer, brother Doyle (Donna) Daiss.  Not to be forgotten are his loyal furbabies, "Big Dog" Max and his "Baby" Molly.
