Donald Arthur Comerford

December 19, 1934 - October 29, 2020

Donald Comerford was an extremely wonderful husband to his wife, a generous and caring father and brother and the best Grandpa anyone could ask for. He will be greatly missed and his humor, constant jokes and laughter and his wealth of knowledge and stories will never be forgotten. Here is a poem dedicated to him:

I watched an old tree get cut down today.

Don't be sad or full of regret when you think of a tree more time wished you'd spent.

Be happy when you think of the knowledge he has sung, protecting you from rain and burns from the sun.

Be happy for knowing such a brave and wise tree, whose own trunk he'd give, knowing you'd be so free.

Be happy to know of the storms that have passed when the tree stood strong and his roots held fast.

Be happy the tree was a father for you because some people have never known a tree quite as true.
