Don Clifton
Williams
Sep 2, 1938 — Sep 17, 2026
Don Clifton Williams was born September 2, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas to Virgil and Minnie Williams. He passed into his heavenly home at the age of 88 on September 17, 2026.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings John, Mary, Charlie, Tommy, and Betty.
He is survived by Sonja (Kimes), his wife of 64 years; sons Terry (Mona) and Carey (Ledean). He had three granddaughters: Christina (David), Aubrey (James) and Olivia, and great-grandson Leo.
Don lived in San Antonio Texas until enlisting in the US Army at age 18, where he served for 4 years.
Don worked in Freight truck sales as an owner of New Orleans White / Freightliner and in truck dispatch for Enterprise Trucking. He greatly enjoyed his “retirement job” in parking services at SeaWorld Orlando.
Don was a faithful member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Hammond, Louisiana for over 25 years and of First Baptist Church of Clermont since moving here in 2006.
Don enjoyed coaching his sons’ sports teams, travel, camping, tennis, singing in the church choir, historical novels, picture puzzles and crossword puzzles, ice cream, and hot black coffee. He loved spending time with his family and church friends, and was always ready with a silly Dad joke.
Don will be remembered for his unique sense of humor, his strong commitment to family, and his unwavering faith in Christ.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org/donate).
