Diane L. Winnick (1950-2024)

Clermont, FL - Diane Lynn Winnick, 74, of Clermont passed away at her home on July 16, 2024.

Diane was born in New York City on March 22, 1950, to Robert L. and Muriel B. Winnick. She grew up in Middletown, RI. Diane received her B.S. in Education from the University of Hartford and spent many years teaching in the Middletown, RI school system. She later received her Masters Degree in Education with a specialty in Reading at the University of South Carolina. In 1989 she moved to Kingfield, ME with her mother Muriel, brother Richard and his wife Carolyn S. Rainaud where they owned the Inn on Winter's Hill. In 2019 she moved to FL to live with Richard and Carolyn.

Diane will always be remembered as a kind, gentle person with a fondness for all animals, especially her dog Bolika (Bo), a loving and protective sister, a special sister-in-law to Carolyn and a wonderful second mother to Richard's daughter Sarah Elizabeth (Beth).

Diane is survived by her brother Richard, sister-in-law Carolyn, niece Beth and Beth's husband Sean Kiely of Dover, NH, and her special friend Bo.

At Diane's request, there will be no formal funeral. Those wishing to may donate in Diane's memory to The Animal League, Clermont Thrift Shop at www.theanimalleague.org or to the charity of their choice.
