On Tuesday September 27th, at the age of 78, Diane Jane Flesher passed away surrounded by her family. Diane is predeceased by her parents, Ray & Lillian Smith of Fayetteville, New York. Her sister Phyliss Wilson of Chittenango, New York. And her daughter Lisa. She is survived by her loving husband Jerome of 57 years. And is lovingly remembered by her sons, David Flesher of Clermont, Florida, Stephen Flesher of Lakeland, Florida. Her grandchildren Michael Jones, Sarah Flesher, Julie Flesher, and her great granddaughters Cheyanne, Mackenzye, and Madison, and her twin brother Donald Smith along with several nieces and nephews who were like her own children.

Diane was born in Syracuse, New York in 1938 and grew up in Fayetteville, New York with her parents, brother, sister and Uncle Harry. She graduated from Fayetteville Manlius High School in 1956 and went on to work as a bookkeeper for several companies including Syracuse Plastics and Siemens. She retired in 1998 and moved with her husband to Clermont, Florida to be closer to family. Diane loved traveling and went on many European trips and cruises with friends, family, and classmates. She loved Cardinals, tulips, and chardonnay. But at the end of the day there is nothing she loved more than her family, and she went out of her way every day to let them know she was thinking about them. She was taken too soon and she will be missed.

The funeral service will be held at Becker Funeral Home, 806 W. Minneola Ave. Clermont, Florida on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 2 p.m. with friends and family being received at 1 p.m. A reception will take place at 16145 Dorchester Blvd. Clermont following the service.
