Obituary
Dennis H. Myers, CGCM, 77, of Montverde, FL, went home to rest in the arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ on Monday, February 13, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by his family. Born on September 15, 1939 in Chicago, IL to Frank F. & Moreland (Adams Lund) Myers, Dennis was employed by Trustmark Ins. Co., originally known as Benefit Trust Life, in Chicago, IL and then Lake Forest, IL as Printer and Purchasing Manage for 34 years. He was President of the Chicago Chapter of the In-Plant Managers Association for many years as well as serving on it's Board of Directors. He also served on the Board of Directors for the Chicago Boys & Girls Club Graphic Arts project. He enjoyed playing softball with his company team as well as his church, Immanuel Lutheran, Palatine, IL and the WGN teams. Bowling was also a hobby of his until he retired to Montverde, FL and took up golf. He was a starter at both King's Ridge and Legends Golf Courses for a number of years. He had been an active member of Woodlands Lutheran Church since retiring to Florida in 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank F. & Moreland (Adams Lund) Myers and a sister, Deanna F. Tiedje. Survivors are his loving family: wife, Betty E. (Thompson) Myers; son, Dennis J. Myers; daughter, Constance G. Keezer; sister, Roylene J. (George) Polic; granddaughters: Jamie Lynn (Sean) Dumelle-Patterson, Kristen P. Myers & Kassidy M. Myers; great granddaughter, Elliena P. Myers along a niec and great nephew, Beth and Aaron Johnson. A Celebration of Life Service for Dennis wil be held at Woodland's Lutheran Church, Montverde, FL on Saturday, February 18 at 11:00am, with the family receiving friends from 10:30-11:00am at church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dennis's honor to the Woodlands Lutheran Church Youth, 15333 CR 455, Montverde, FL 34756.
