Obituary

Dennis C Holton, father, consultant, and semi-professional hand warmer, passed away suddenly on November 29, 2023, at the age of 74.

Dennis was born on September 3, 1949, in Waukesha WI to father Harvard Holton and mother Aldona Holton. He had a successful early career in sales first working for ITech where he won numerous top sales awards, and then joining the family business where he and his father created films and sales meetings for several top companies such as General Motors, Ford Motor Company, and others.

He and his wife, Johanne (Jo), went on to start their own meeting creation company Meeting Success, Inc., and then a consulting company, The Cavalry, Inc. which they operated until his retirement in 2018.

Dennis also had a fiery passion for riding motorcycles, until a combination of a loose gravel road and a leg fracture resulted in a persuasively threatening speech from his wife that doused his passion for Harley's... somewhat.

He married the love of his life, Johanne Villeneuve in 1988 and they shared many adventures together. They first met and married near Chicago, IL, then moved to Jackson Hole, WY which became their home for 22 years, before finally settling in Florida in 2018.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Johanne; and by his six children, Bryce, Ryanon, Lyndsay, Summer, Shane, and Cheyenne Holton. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Phillip, Aiden, Isabella, Gavin, and Logan Holton; his brother, Stephen Holton; sister, Susan Holton; and his dear cousins, Debbie Hobbs and Dixie Wadleigh.

His main interests in his later years included volunteering at his church, Real Life, in Clermont. He also loved checking in with family and friends and had weekly Zoom and non-Zoom calls with his brother, children, cousins, and his lifelong friend, Randy Bolton.

While Dennis was not a big drinker, he did have a special fondness for champagne, a fine scotch, and Bud Lite Lime. With that in mind, a private memorial service (to be announced at a later date) will be held for family, friends, and anyone who shows up with a bottle Veuve Cliquot, Dalwhinnie, or a Bud Lite Lime.
