Dennis Earl Herring

December 24, 1954 – January 22, 2023

Dennis Earl Herring, 68, of Groveland, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born on December 24, 1954 in Marion, SC. He was preceded in death by his father William Earl Herring and mother Hazel Lane Herring. Dennis, a military veteran, honorably served in the United States Navy from August 1972 to August 1976.

Dennis was highly sought after for his mastery in carpentry skills. He owned a successful construction business. He loved working with his hands. He built a home that he and his wife loved. He enjoyed being outdoors – riding his Harley motorcycles, boating, fishing, working outdoors, improving his 15 acres of land. He also loved music, playing his guitar, telling stories, and entertaining family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Rosemary Triguero Herring; His stepchildren, Alan House (Nikki) and Jennifer House Cypress (Kenny) of Naples, FL; step-grandchildren: Alan House Jr. (Yeni), Adrian Renatta Hawthorn (Josh), Chelsea Ramirez (Chris), John David Garrison, and Elizabeth Garrison (Rodney Sr); step-great grandchildren Jaxon, Maverick, Iris, Phoenix, and Rodney Jr.; Siblings Charles Lane (Phyllis), Drusilla Lane, Robert Byrd, Marty Herring (Carmon), Misty Castellano (Miguel) as well as beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a celebration of life, which will be held at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida on Friday, February 10th at 2p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The National Kidney Foundation.
