Dennis Alan Duckworth, 61, Minneola, passed away unexpectedly on July 15, 2013 at South Lake Hospital. He was born December 22, 1951 in Orlando son of Ruby Tinsey & Sedgewick Duckworth and grew up in Miami, graduated high school & received his AS from Miami-Dade Community College. He returned to the Clermont area in 1989 and was employed at South Lake Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist. He was a member of AARC (American Association of Respiratory Care). He enjoyed reading and kayaking, which he referred to as paddling. Surviving in addition to his parents of Altamonte Springs are his wife Kimberley Weese Shetrone of the residence; daughters Kelly Duckworth (fiancé Alexander St. Cyr) of Mascotte & Kayla Duckworth, Minneola; step-son Drew Shetrone (fiancé Brooke Bushika, Mt. Dora; grandson Mason Shetrone; siblings Craig Duckworth & Lyn Logue both of Boca Raton & former wife Janette Duckworth, Minneola. The memorial service for Dennis Duckworth will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 20, 2013 in the sanctuary at First United Methodist Church, 950 7th Street, Clermont. A reception will follow in the Wesley Center on campus of the church.
