Delores T. DuBois, 87, of Homasassa Florida, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2014, in Orlando, Florida. Delores was born to Louise and Norman Tillman in Mobile, Alabama, on September 28, 1927.Delores (known as Dee to everyone) enjoyed her life and was very active with her family and her church. She worked hard to raise her children, and she excelled in all that she did. During her early adulthood, Dee worked at a famous Mobile, Alabama landmark restaurant along side with her sister Betty. They were both remembered fondly by the Korbet' family many years later. After relocating to Orlando, Florida, Dee started as a teller in the Savings and Loan Banking business. She worked her way up the ranks to Treasurer on the Board at Home Savings & Loan. Her experience as an Executive Secretary at Belko Steel helped her become successful in Real Estate. During her free time, Dee enjoyed the finer parts of her life involved in cooking, boating, fishing and crabbing, bowling, skydiving, and sewing. She was one of the bests cooks around and loved to cook good food for all her favorite people. Dee' favorite house was on Fowl River. Everyone loved to come visit her there on the river. They would spend the hours fishing, boating, and collecting shells on Sand Island while Dee steered the boat. Dee had a successful Real Estate career that spanned several decades. She was active in the Women' Council of Realtors and was a long-standing member of "The Million Dollar Club". After Dee retired, she relocated to Homasassa, Florida near the Manatee Park. She loved the river and living close to the water. In the last decades of her life she was active in her church, and she used her sewing skills and her many sewing machines to create the sacred Liturgical Linens for her church, as well as robes and stoles for Father Sokal to mark the Seasons of Christ. Most of all, Dee enjoyed spending time with all her family. In preparation for her arrival, her Mother and Daddy have gone ahead, her Aunts and Uncles too. Her sisters Betty and Dorothy have joined them, and so has her brother, Richard. Dee' sons Robert and John are watching out for her arrival. Brian, Chrissy, Harry, and Mike are there too, and Doug has just arrived. They are there to welcome Dee gleefully through the gates of Heaven and into the arms of her Heavenly Father. Dee' fan club includes her daughters Milo and Debbie, as well as Katie, and her sons Bill and Marc. Dee' niece Pam, who was by her side for many years, and who loved her like a mother, was more like a daughter than a niece. Dee delighted in her grandchildren: David, Sarah, Angela, Theresa, Laura, Melissa, and Jessica. Her Great-Grandchildren are beloved: Donald, Gwendalyn, Devon, Caitlyn, Kelsey, Drew, Jack, Emily, Charlotte, Christine, Brandon, Victoria, Kianna, and Sebastian. She was thrilled beyond belief by her Great-Great-Grandchildren: Jada, Jayla, Jaimie, and Bennie. Dee had many nieces and nephews, who she loved and who love her very much. She also shared her life with many friends along the way; some will be there waiting to greet her, and some will stay behind. We all love her and will cherish her love forever. A memorial service to share memories and to celebrate her life will be held at Becker Funeral Home on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 3 PM. Father David Sokal, of the Anglican Diocese, will be lovingly officiating.
