Della Mae Byrd, 78, of Mascotte, passed away March 29, 2015 in Clermont, Florida.
Della was born in Tennessee to Johnnie and Arena Richardson on January 11, 1937. She was one of 10 children. She moved to Florida with her husband, Charles Byrd, in 1963. She worked as a CNA for 38 years. She was dearly loved by all she came in contact with. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church, Groveland. She loved sewing, quilting, spending time with her family and friends, and listening to music. Her musical
interest ranged from the old time country gospel, to classic country, to bluegrass.
Della is preceeded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Arena; her husband, Charles Edward Byrd; and 9 siblings.
Della is survived by her 2 daughters, Marilyn (Avery) Paul of Groveland; Lisa Byrd of Mascotte; 2 grandchildren, Wayne Paul of Groveland and Tony Paul of Mascotte; a great granddaughter Savannah Leigh Brannon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, April 3, 2015 at Mascotte Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Mike Conley Hospice House; 2100 Oakley Seaver Blvd., Clermont, FL for their support on her final day.
