Debra Fay Lawson, born on February 22, 1953, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2024. She was the cherished daughter of William A Lawson and Fleta May Lawson and is survived by her loving siblings, Chuck Lawson, and Bill Lawson.

Although Debra was never married, she embraced the role of Aunt with warmth and affection, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of many nieces and nephews. Her love and care for her family were evident in the strong bonds she shared with each of them.

Debra found joy in the simple pleasures of life. For many years, she dedicated herself to her work at Pizza Hut, where her commitment to caring for the salad bar made her a beloved member of the Pizza Hut family.

In her leisure time, Debra enjoyed the thrill of trying her luck with lottery scratch-off tickets, always hopeful for a winning moment. Additionally, she was passionate about collecting beanie babies, finding delight in the diverse and charming characters that filled her collection. Her evenings were often spent finding comfort and joy in watching classic TV shows such as Andy Griffith, Emergency, and Hee-Haw.

Although Debbie was mentally challenged, she had a memory second to none.  She knew every birth date and remembered every person that touched her life in a special way.  Proverbs 31:8-9 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy".  Debbie's brother Bill has been her defender and advocate since they were young.

Debra's memory will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved her. Her kindness, infectious laughter, and the love she shared with family and friends will be remembered fondly.

A memorial service to celebrate Debra's life will be held at Becker's Funeral Home. Instead of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to Bennett's Arc.
