Deborah Helms Simpson
July 19, 1948 - February 17, 2023 Deborah Annette Helms Simpson, age 74 of Clermont, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, February 17, 2023. Deborah was born and raised in Monroe, NC and lived in many areas across the US before settling in Florida. She was preceded in passing by her husband Larry Simpson with whom she was married for 40yr. Predeceased are her parents R. Furman Helms Sr and Pauline Griffin Helms, and her siblings
Phyllis Deane Helms Wolfe, Robert F. Helms Jr., Ancil R. Helms, Samuel F.
Helms and C. Douglas Helms. She is survived by her daughter Sara S. Simpson of Tallahassee FL and her sister Holly Helms Brendle of Indian Trail NC, as well as many nieces and nephews. Deborah loved and supported the arts, theatre and enjoyed travel. She never met a stranger
and cherished time with her family as well as extended family and friends. Deborah's family will have a private celebration of Life, and encourage others to honor her in the way they knew her best. In lieu of flowers donations in honor of Deborah may be made to the National Wildlife
