Deborah "Deb" Rogers Evans went home to be with Jesus at 5:05 PM on March 20, 2015 at the Mike Conley hospice house in Clermont, Florida. She had just celebrated her 62nd birthday. She was born on March 18, 1953 in Orlando, Florida to Pete and Gladys Rogers. She grew up in the Orlando area and made a career as a letter carrier for the post office. In her mid 40s, she and her family moved to Clermont where she spent the rest of her life. Deb loved Jesus, loved her family, and had a zest for life. She enjoyed riding horses and motorcycles, and her doctors were known to ask her what adventures had thrown her into their office this time. Deb had a passion for helping people and volunteered much of her time to HeRD, a therapy program involving special needs children working with horses. She was skilled with a crochet needle and created many beautiful works of art with her abilities. Deb loved to fellowship and cherished spending time with family and friends. She brought joy to everyone she knew and her courage lifted those around her. Even her doctors were in awe of her strength and positivity through her last days.
She is survived by her devoted husband Randall Evans, Jr., her sister Peggy her children Tracy, Kimberly, Craig, and Michelle, and her grandchildren Evan and Ella.
A Celebration of Deborah's life will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Montverde. A donation may be given to the following organization on honor of Deb's memory:
