IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Deana Kae
Gonzales
April 28, 1968 – July 24, 2024
Deana Kae Gonzales (Beighley), affectionately known to many as "Biggs," passed away on July 24, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love and friendship. Born on April 28, 1968, in Kansas City, MO, Deana was the cherished daughter of Diana and Ronald C. Beighley ("Big Guy"). In 1979, the Beighley family moved to Clermont, where Deana built her life and became an integral part of the community she loved so dearly.
Deana was known for her fierce loyalty and her remarkable ability to make lifelong friends wherever she went. As a middle school student, she formed bonds with friends who became family, standing by her side throughout her life. A proud Highlander, Class of '86, Deana was deeply involved with the All Class Reunion committee, dedicating her time to preserving the spirit of her alma mater.
Her devotion extended beyond her friends to her family, particularly to her younger sister Tiffany, whom she supported with unwavering love. Deana's strength was profoundly evident during her father's illness, as she bravely supported him through his disability, and she continued to be a pillar of strength for her mother throughout her life.
Deana's journey of love began in high school when she met Eric K. Gonzales at a concert—an encounter that, would now be considered "STALKING", marked the beginning of a lifelong romance. Though they didn't officially start dating until later, it was clear that Eric was the one for her. Together, they built a home in Minneola, where they raised their son, Mitchell R. Gonzales, and many beloved fur babies. Eric and Deana celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary in May.
In 2020, Deana and Eric proudly embraced their new roles as "Gigi" and "Grumps" to their beloved grandson, Zavier N. Gonzales. Deana's joys included visits to the beach, exploring the mountains, going to concerts, tending to the community garden, and most importantly, cherishing her time with Zavier.
Deana is preceded in death by her father, Ronald C. Beighley; her "Uncle John" and "Aunt Maggie" MacAuley; her grandparents; numerous aunts and uncles; and several Highlanders who have passed before her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Eric K. Gonzales; her son, Mitchell R. Gonzales (Crystal) of Minneola; her mother, Diana S. Beighley of Clermont; her sister Tiffany Archambault (Tom) of Clermont; nieces Andrea Gonzales, Payton Archambault, and Briana Archambault; nephew Matthew Gonzales (Kayla); grandson Zavier Gonzales; and great-nephews JD and Marshall.
Deana's warmth, kindness, and spirited presence is already deeply missed by all who love her. A time of visitation will be held on August 8th, 2024 at Becker Funeral Home located at 806 W Minneola Ave, Clermont, FL 34711 from 5-8pm, where friends and family are invited to honor her memory with an open house style time to gather.
