David Allen Morris, 75, of Groveland, Florida, passed away on June 22, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 6, 1950 in New Castle, Indiana to parents Frank and Edna (Stephens) Morris. He graduated from Union High School in 1968, and went on to earn degrees from Taylor University and the University of Illinois. David married Cheryl in 1973, and together, they accepted the call on their lives and went on to serve with The Navigators - both in the United States and Cote d’Ivoire. David spent his life serving in various ways, touching lives around the world.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 52 years, Cheryl (Coates) Morris; their children, Daniel (Diana) Morris and Elizabeth (Jonathan) Pearson; his five grandchildren Sophia, Olivia, Ryon, Carson, and Noah; siblings Joseph (Barbara) Morris and Robert Morris; sisters-in-law Marcia (Jack) Puckett and Carol Downs; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Judy Morris, and brother-in-law, Fred Downs.

A celebration of life service will be held at Real Life Church in Clermont, Florida, on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 10am.
