On Sunday, January 8, 2023, David (Dave) Andrew Litz passed away in Clermont, FL, at the age of 89. Dave was born in Munhall, PA, on June 25th, 1933.  After graduating from Munhall High School in 1951, he began his life's work as a carpenter and later as a General Contractor and Sole Business Owner.

He was a great husband and father and later received the title "Pappy" when his first grandchild was born.

He was a Korean War Veteran and served 16 years as Commander of the South Lake Chapter 188 in Groveland, FL, where he served in their Honor Guard and spearheaded many philanthropic programs.  He also presented ROTC Medals for many years at South Lake High School from Korean War Veterans.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Schano Litz; daughter, Janeen Litz Scoliere; son-in-law, Joseph Scoliere; granddaughters, Brielle Scoliere and Karina Scoliere; grandson, Ryan Litz; sister-in-law, Jean Schano Dialoiso; and nephews, Nick Dialoiso and Robert Dialoiso; niece, Cheryl Dialoiso; and great nephew, Nicky Dialoiso.

Dave was preceded in death by his father, Frank Litz; mother, Matilda Pienkoski Litz; brother Ronald Litz; son, Alan David Litz; and brother-in-law, Nickolas Dialoiso,

The family is so thankful for his loving caregivers throughout his illness that enabled him to die peacefully at home.

Services with Military Honors at Florida National Cemetery will be announced.
