David John Klein of Groveland, Florida passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. He was born in Batavia, New York, September 24, 1955, son of the late Henry Klein and Bernice Kelley Klein. He graduated from Batavia high school, Class of 1971.

David joined the United States Air Force in 1977 as a Computer Operator stationed at Sheppard AFB, Texas , Andrews AFB, Maryland, and Osan AB, Korea. He achieved Staff Sergeant status serving his country till 1985, and received the AF Commendation Medal and AF Outstanding Unit Award. He then worked for National Data Corporation in Rockville, Maryland. In 1992 he began work with Kaiser Permanente in Cleveland, Ohio as Pharmacy Systems Coordinator, maintaining pharmacy dispensing system. He continued with Health Span (formerly Kaiser Permanente) until his retirement in October 2017, where he settled in Groveland, Florida.

David had a passion for all things Disney. In fact, he was an expert on navigating the park. He was always up to date on any changes that were happening, and he was thrilled to go with you on your visit. David will be remembered for his kind and gentle spirit. He loved his family, especially his nieces. And he was loved in return by family, friends and his neighbors. His presence in all our lives will be greatly missed.

He is predeceased by his parents, Bernice and Henry Klein. David is survived by his sisters, Christine (Charles) Kuehl of East Bethany, NY, and Barbara (Paul) Hart of San Antonio, Texas. He is also survived by his nieces, Jennifer Nagelhout, Stacey (Kelly) Mileham, Melissa (Christopher) Lacey, Ruth (Roger) Rodriguez, Amy (George) De Rosa, and Paula (JR) Rodriguez.

David is being cared for by Becker Funeral Home, Clermont, Florida. There will be no calling hours. A private burial will take place at a later date in New York.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in David's name can be made to Human Rights Campaign (hrc.org) or to the local animal rescue, The Animal League , 4648 Baptist Island Road, Groveland, Florida 34736.
