Darryl Laverne Rapp was called home to the Lord on Friday, June 12, 2020. He was born March 29, 1944, to loving parents, Tennis and Esther Rapp of Lincoln, Nebraska. He was well-regarded in his community and adored by all for his wit, headstrong nature, and generous, loving heart.

We were blessed to learn many valuable lessons from Darryl during his 76 years, among them: dessert is the most important meal of the day, the Nebraska Cornhuskers will always be the best college football team, ever, when to hit and when to stand in blackjack, that you're never to old to follow your dreams, and that the only thing you need in life to be happy is love.

Darryl's spirit lives on through his family. His loving partner Dollye, daughter Deanna, grandchildren Dakota and Dillon, and great-grandchild Parker will keep his memory alive.

In celebration of Darryl's life, a small gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 2 p.m.

The Animal League, a no-kill animal shelter, helps abused, abandoned, and neglected animals in South Lake County, Florida. Darryl believed in their mission wholeheartedly and served for several years as manager to The South Lake Animal League's Thrift Shop in Downtown Clermont.
