Danny D. Harper, 79, Minneola, passed away February 20, 2014 at South Lake Hospital. He was born November 17, 1934 in Columbus, OH son of Jessie Gibson & Hugh Harper. He served in the US Army and on January 14, 1961 was united in marriage to Patsy Musick in Columbus. He was a local resident sin 1974, was an electrician by trade and a former Little League coach. His church affiliations were with Clermont Baptist, Minneola Baptist & Citrus Heights Church of the Nazarene. His wife Patsy Harper preceded him in death on May 3, 2011 as did his siblings Hugh Harper, Jr. & Martha Kassar. Surviving are his sons Danny Harper, Jr. & David (Lynn) Harper all of Minneola; Michael Harper, Oakland Park, FL & Matthew (Melissa) Harper, Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren Logan, Grace, Danny, III, Emily, Jeremy & Miles & sisters Betty Kindinger, Sun City, AZ & Pat (Al) Morehart, Grove City, OH. The funeral service for Danny Harper will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 24, 2014 in the Becker Chapel. Reverend Don Knight will officiate. Burial will follow in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Visitation will be from 2-4 PM on Sunday.
