Obituary

Daniel B. Saville, 74, known by his family and friends as "Danny", passed away peacefully on July 26, 2025 in his Clermont, Florida home. Danny is originally from Richmond, Virginia and resided in South Carolina prior to moving to Florida. He was the only son of Mary Ann Jones and Martin L. Saville, and was proud of his Powhatan Indian heritage. In high school, Danny was the lead guitarist in a local band.

Danny graduated Junior College and served his country nine years with honor in the United States Air Force, achieving the position of crew chief during the Vietnam War. He also served honorably in the Virginia Air National Guard. After his military service, Danny served the City of Richmond and New Kent County as a policeman, and was Deputy Sherrif of a K-9 unit and a police firearms instructor in Virginia. Danny worked several years in the papermill, and was a certified electrician and chief of maintenance for hotels in South Carolina.

Danny was a man of many interests and passions. He was an avid biker who loved fishing, camping, hanging out at the beach, and going to Disney World. Danny was passionate about helping others, and was blessed with the ability to build most anything with the strength of his caring hands.

Danny was preceded by his parents and son Steve. He is survived by his lovely wife, Bonnie Saville; three children Joseph Mann (Annabelle) of Virginia, Samantha Saville of Virginia, and Nicole Pitkorchemny of South Carolina; four grandchildren, Donny, Justin, Joseph and Patty; Beatrice Collins, his wonderful mother-in-law of Connecticut; his brother-in law, Craig Collins (Betty Ann) of Connecticut; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.

Danny will be remembered for his warmth, and for the quiet strength with which he lived his life. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication to his family, community, and honorable service.
