Daniel Robert Davis, 79, passed away March 4
th
into heaven, 2017 in his dream home in Clermont Florida. He was survived by his wife of 56 years Sidney C. Davis and six children, all girls except five: Kirk Davis, Tracey Ocon, Robert Davis, Adam Davis, Joshua Davis, Garry Davis, sixteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
He was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota February 16
th
, 1938. As a young man he served in the United States Air Force. After his service he moved to Long Beach, California and worked for the United States Postal Service for 35 years as a letter carrier specialist.
He was an avid Los Angles sports fan. He also enjoyed traveling, especially by way of cruising, having visited almost every continent, with his loving wife Sidney.
He was most passionate about his church, his family, and his faith. He showed this in his life in many ways. One of which was the deep love and devotion he displayed as member of The Church Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Serving in many different offices and serving on a two year mission, in his sixties, with his wife in Fort Francis, Ontario, Canada. He displayed his passion for his family in every way, his kindness and compassion were renowned and his hugs were legendary. He displayed his deep faith until his very last moment, holding on until his church elders could pray over him, releasing his spirit into the heavens.
He will be forever remembered by his family and friends, and by the gentle love that he imparted to those who were fortunate enough to have met him.
