Obituary

Dan was born in Washington, D.C., in 1941 to Harold and Margaret Danforth. Dan graduated from Upper Darby High School in Pennsylvania and Miami Bible College. For most of his life Dan owned a business in the automotive industry.

He was a member of The Church at the Cross (formerly The First Baptist Church of Central Florida) and Legacy, the church program for adults. He was president of the Kings Ridge Car Club and the Kings Ridge Men's Club. He enjoyed attending church and Legacy activities, planning car club social activities, attending car events at the Citrus Tower, Winter Garden, and Old Town. He also enjoyed traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, of 44 years, son, Daniel Robert and his wife, Susan, and grandchildren Joey, Danielle, Stephen, and Angela. He has a brother, Dave, in Ft. Myers, as well as sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.

Dan was a very social person whose warmth and humor made a difference in the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed.
