Obituary
Dalton Patrick Monroe, age 65, Montverde, FL, passed away August 31, 2017. He was born March 18, 1952 in Terre Haute, IN son of the late Dalton B. Monroe and Ida Mae Deckard Monroe. After teaching and coaching for 5 years in Indiana, Dalton moved to Florida in 1980 and worked for Admiral Farragut Academy in St. Pete where he taught History, Science and Physical Education along with coaching baseball and basketball. He moved to Central Florida in 1996 and became a Dorm Parent at Montverde Academy where he mentored many young people over the years and made a difference in their lives. The memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 in the Sandra Stephens Auditorium at Montverde Academy. His final resting place will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Terre Haute, Indiana. In lieu of Flowers donation can be made to the Mike Conley Hospice House, 2100 Oakley Seaver Drive, Clermont FL 34711.
