Born in Greenwich, Connecticut on September 7, 1928 to Joseph and Agnes Bennett. Collett graduated from Port Chester High School in New York and went to Greenwich Hospital School of Nursing from which she graduated with a Registered Nursing Degree in 1949. Collett later earned her Bachelor's degree in Nursing from Mercy College in Dobbs Ferry, New York.
She was united in holy matrimony to Melville M. Hall on January 1, 1955. This union was blessed with five children. Melville preceded her death on March 29, 1993. Their son, David preceded their deaths on March 29, 1980.
Her life will forever be cherished in the lives of their children and family, Jonathan and Katherine Hall of Wolcott, New York; Jeffrey and Bonnie Hall, Cocoa, Florida; Melissa Hall, Clermont, Florida and Melinda Hall of New York, New York; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Hall, San Diego, California; Maria Hall Bauman of Scottsdale, Arizona; David Hall, Portland, Oregon and Caitlin Thompson of Melbourne, Florida; her great grandchildren, Sebastian and Gloria Bauman, Scottsdale, Arizona; her sisters Joan Ryan, Spokane, Washington; Rose Bennett, Fairfax, Virginia and her brother, Donald Bennett of Naples, Florida; as well as her cousins and friends.
Collett was employed by Greenwich Hospital and Northern Westchester Hospital Center in Mount Kisco, New York as a pediatric nurse. She moved from Brewster, New York to Melbourne Beach, Florida in 1994 where she was employed by Community Access to Child Health until 2012. In 2018, she moved to Clermont, Florida.
She was active in Boy Scout Troop 1 and Girl Scout troops in Brewster, New York.
