With deep sorrow and enduring love, we announce the passing of Christopher Dean West, 56, of Clermont, Florida, who left this world on October 21, 2025. Chris leaves behind a legacy defined by strength, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the people and passions that mattered most.

For over two decades, Chris served with honor at the Bureau of Prisons, earning the respect of colleagues through his integrity, tireless work ethic, and quiet leadership. He approached his career with the same commitment he gave to every part of his life — fully, humbly, and with heart.

Outside of work, Chris found joy in the simple things: spending time with family, hitting the gym, and cruising on his motorcycle. He lived with energy and purpose, always making time for the people he loved and the things that made him feel alive.

Chris's heart belonged entirely to his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving son and brother, and above all, a proud father to his daughter Rylee — his greatest joy and biggest inspiration. He was her loudest cheerleader, her steady guide, and her constant source of encouragement. His love for her was boundless.

He never met a stranger and had a gift for making people feel welcome. Loyal, generous, and full of warmth, Chris was the kind of friend who showed up when you needed him.

He is survived by his wife, Tanya West; daughter, Rylee West; parents, Jim and Bonnie West; sister and brother-in-law, Pamela and Jason Marfell; brother and sister-in-law, David and Lara West; niece, Carter West; and nephews, Dawson West and Austin Marfell.

Though he may be gone from our sight, Chris's love, laughter, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
