Christopher Kyle Vermillion, age 48, of Minneola, Florida passed away on Monday, November 5, 2018, at home surrounded by his family, after a year-long battle with brain cancer. He was a deeply adored husband, father, son, brother and friend. Chris was born in Lima, Ohio, on June 23, 1970. He attended elementary school in Cridersville, Ohio. He moved to Florida in 1983 and graduated from East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs, Florida in 1989. He received his Associate of Business degree from St. Petersburg College and attended Florida State University. On February 2, 2001, he married Jennifer, the love of his life.

Growing up, Chris enjoyed all sports but baseball and basketball were his passion. He loved family gatherings with grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. He enjoyed coaching and playing baseball with his sons. He was a proud and loving dad and his sons idolized him. Chris also enjoyed genealogy and researching his family tree. Chris spent 30 years in the hospitality industry, mostly in restaurant management. He was a dedicated, hard-working, and likeable worker. He enjoyed working with his colleagues.

Chris is survived by his parents; Rick and Diane Vermillion of Clermont, his loving and devoted wife of 18 years, Jennifer Trautner Vermillion, three sons, Tyler (age 17), twins Caden and Bricen (age 10) of Minneola, and his brother Rob (Tina) Vermillion, of Birmingham, Alabama. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family and all who knew him.
