Obituary

Christopher Edward Foget was 55 years old when he passed away at his home in Groveland, FL on May 13, 2019. At just 55 years of age, he left us WAY too soon but memories of his beautiful soul will live on in our hearts and minds. His heart was as big as the outdoors and he'd give the shirt off his back to anyone needing it. Many of his childhood friends remained friends with him as adults and those are the best kind of friends! Chris was a loyal friend, a great brother and beloved uncle/great uncle.

Chris was born in Long Island, NY and was the 6th of 8 children born to Robert & Dolores Foget on August 24, 1963. Both of his parents are deceased but he is survived by his 7 brothers and sisters and their respective spouses, (Debbie "Kate" Landry/George Landry, Denise Porter, Bob Foget/Darie Foget, Carolyn Argo/Jeff Argo, Mary Therese AmRhein/Jim AmRhein, Clare McCollum/Ron McCollum & Matt Foget/Jennifer Vosotas), his 4 nieces (Michele Lampman/Locke, Kristin & Janine AmRhein & Sarah McCollum/Otero) and 12 nephews (Brian Lampman, Sean & Joshua McCollum, Nicholas & Phillip Foget, Nicholas Vosotas, Tyler & Ryan Argo, Andrew AmRhein, Christopher, Michael & Joshua Foget and 1 great niece (Jenna Otero) and 2 great nephews , (Benjamin Lampman & Victor Otero).

Chris was involved in track, swimming and wrestling during his school years. He attended Conway Jr High School, Oak Ridge High School and Mid-FL Technical School before he moved away from Florida to live in New York with his Uncle Bill Pearce. He attended the Manhattan School of Printing where he earned his Lithographic Impositon/Platemaking Graphic Arts Photography Degree. He worked at a printer while in NY, found his way back to FL and worked as a cell phone tower lineman, landscaper and business owner. Although he never married, he was family-minded and made it a point to become involved in the lives of his many nieces and nephews .

He is no longer here on this earth with us but is finally resting in peace. Chris chose to believe that God sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, to die for his sins on the Cross of Calvary. We will miss him terribly but take comfort in the fact that he's with his Savior. A private funeral and celebration of life will be held with family and friends.
