Christine Ann Blackall passed away suddenly on August 23, 2013. Christy was the second of five children. She was born to Kathy G. Muisiner and John P. Slewinski and was raised in Kane, PA. She graduated from Kane Area High School in 1987 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1991 from Setton Hill College in Greensburg, PA. She married in 2002 and spent the last eleven years living with husband Darryl L. Blackall in Clermont, Florida. Christy was a warm, generous lady who loved life, loved to laugh and loved her husband, family and friends dearly. She was a culinary artist, a talented teacher and writer, a devoted wife and so much more. She loved to cook. Her meals were as incredible to look at as to eat. Her Thanksgiving family meal was a feast for all our senses. She loved arts and crafts, often creating unique pieces of work from pictures to handcrafted jewelry to share with family and friends. Christy was a world-class talented writer and editor. She worked for several major publications as a writer/editor including the Greensburg Tribute Review, The New York Daily News, Nickelodeon's Parents Connection and the Orlando Sentinel. She was the Social Media Director for "A Way In", a progressive Jewish synagogue in Philadelphia. Her last editor position before accepting a teaching position at Alee Academy was the TV Worth Watching Website. Christy is survived by her husband Darryl; her parents Kathy G. Muisiner and John P. Slewinski, her siblings John S. Slewinski, step brothers Matthew Muisiner and Andrew Muisiner. Family members Scott Blackall, Bryan Blackall, Gina Blackall; grandchildren Paige Blackall, Peyton Blackall, Braydon Blackall, nieces, nephews and countless friends that were like family.
A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at 5:00 PM at Gateway Church, 15550 SR 565, Clermont. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alee Academy in Eustis, FL in memory of Christine Ann Blackall.
