Wilma Christine Alston, also known as Christine, Chris or Pooky by her southern relatives, was born on February 3, 1930 to the late Callie and John Wilson of Burlington, North Carolina.  She was the youngest of four children and left this earthly realm peacefully at home in her sleep.

Christine spent her life caring for her family.  She would always make something out of nothing.  As children, we never went without because of her and our hard working daddy, JC Alston, as he was known.  They both taught us we could be and do whatever we want as long as we were respectful and honest.  All of her children, grands, and great grands are awesome just like her.

Christine had a small Bible that she read every single day and when she couldn't see well, she used a magnifying glass.  We would always see her in the corner of her room, in her special chair, reading that small Bible with the words highlighted.  Her faith never failed and she believed strongly in God.  As her health declined, she prayed every day that he would take her peacefully.  Thank you Jesus that's how she left us...peacefully.

Our mom was our everyday Angel.  She sacrificed for us and loved us unconditionally.  She had the kindest, sweetest, most loving spirit, and saw the good in just about everybody!

Mommy, we will miss you forever but you can rest easy because we will proudly continue to carry on the Alston Wilson Legacy for you.  Rest in Paradise our Queen, our Angel!

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 23, 2023, 10:30am, at Becker Funeral Home.  The Rev. Dr. Wayne Wilson will officiate.  The family will receive friends starting at 9:30.  Interment will follow at 1:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery.
