Christine Szymanski Alfano, 73, of Scotia, NY passed away on Wednesday February 15, 2023 after a short illness. Christine was born in Schenectady, NY and was the daughter of Victor and Anne (Kurant) Szymanski. Christine worked as a School Librarian & Teacher for 25 years. She retired from Cobleskill-Richmondville School District in 2005. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and cats in their motor home, and was an avid reader.

Christine is predeceased by her parents and twin sister Celeste Frances Szymanski. She is survived by her loving husband Mark Alfano whom she married July 7, 1979, sister Celeste Anne Szymanski of Palm Bay, FL, two daughters Lisa (Carnot) Evans of Kissimmee, FL and Lauren (Timothy) Rahill of Clemmons, NC and four grandchildren Carnot Andrew Evans, Maxwell Evans, Kellan Rahill and Ryland Rahill. A Celebration of Life will be planned for summer in upstate New York.
