Christian T. B. Lopes

1940 – 2024

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Christian, who returned to our Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 2 at the age of 84.

Christian was a dearly beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be fondly remembered for his perfect smile, his humor and many jokes, his endless stories of Guyana, and his warm hugs. Throughout his life, he enjoyed playing cricket, riding his bicycle, reading everything, watching movies (especially Westerns), tending to his yard and garden, and cherishing quality time with his loved ones. Christian was a devout Catholic who steadfastly encouraged others to keep the faith. He exemplified a strong work ethic, a quality he passed down to his family.

Christian leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Lucy "Maria"; his three children, Christine (Anders), Christopher, and Catherine; and eight grandchildren, Christian, C.J., Patrik, Kailah, Kumari, Linnea, Caylem, and Cecilia. He is preceded in death by his parents and all of his siblings.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2024, 11am, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.  The family will receive friends from 9am until 10:30am at the Funeral Home.   A luncheon will follow at 1pm at Once Upon a Creation, 4300 S Hwy 27 Suite 207, Clermont, FL 34711
