Obituary
Cheryl D. Winters, 78, of Clermont, FL, passed away at her residence surrounded by her family on August 29, 2016. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on March 2, 1938 to Willard & Cecil (Turney) Crofut. Cheryl and her husband, Carl, moved to the area in 2014, coming from Bauxite, AK. They were members of the South Lake Presbyterian Church in Clermont, FL. She loved to crochet, along with quilting and embroidering. She was preceded in death by a blessed son, William Labadie, who's life was taken while serving with the U.S. Army stationed in Iraq in 2004 and by her beloved husband, Carl, earlier this year.
Survivors include her three children: Debra (Richard) Widup of Evansville, IN, Carla (David) Wood of Clermont & David (Sendy) Winters of Clermont; her ten grandchildren and twenty four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made in Cheryl's honor to the Fisher House Foundation c/o donate.fisherhouse.org . An Inurnment Service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
