Charlotte Kanter Gums, 94, Gainesville, Fl passed away on April 6, 2024 after a brief illness. She was born February 16, 1930 in Milwaukee, WI and worked as a licensed practical nurse before retiring to move to Florida. She recently moved to Gainesville, Fl in 2019 after living for years in Clermont, Fl. In Clermont she was an active member of Woodlands Lutheran Church and while in Gainesville she belonged to Abiding Savior Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Ralph J Gums, her parents, Clarence and Louise Kanter, and her brother Gordon Kanter. She is survived by her son John Gums and his wife Ivey of Gainesville, her daughter Ann Zitzke and husband Al of Friendship, WI, grandchildren Tyler Gums (Amy), Aaron Gums (Sara), and Allison Zitzke, and great-grandchildren Ethan Gums and Noah Gums.

A memorial service will be held at 4PM on Sunday, April 28,2024 at Becker Funeral Home, Clermont, Fl. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Abiding Savior Lutheran School in Gainesville, Fl. https://www.abidingsavior.info/giving
