Dr. Charles Harvey Warne went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, November 30, 2014 in Clermont, Florida. He is survived by Carolyn, his loving wife of 54 years, his brother, Harvey, his 6 children, Paul, Cherie, David Douglas, Sam, Cristie and Connie, as well as his 16 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Charles, or ''Chuck'', as he was called by his friends, was born on May 17, 1934 in Zanesville, Ohio to Harvey and Alice Warne. Charles served in the United States Marine Corp., received his medical degree from Ohio State University (who beat Michigan on Sunday again this year!) in 1967, and was board certified in Family Practice and Geriatric Medicine practicing in Ashland, Ohio until 1985 and in Virginia Beach, Virginia until 2004. Charles'' passions were practicing medicine and caring for his patients, and he enjoyed mentoring medical students as well. Charles also served on the Board of Trustees at Regent University in Virginia Beach, Virginia for many years. Charles'' life was full of zeal and ministry. He was an esteemed physician, a loving husband, and a caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served in missions locally and around the world, which included tending to the medical needs of orphans in Asia. Charles always aimed to live his life beyond himself because he truly believed that the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world, 1 John 4:4.
