Charles "Chuck" Liddon
Lawson
May 27, 1942 – June 9, 2026
Charles “Chuck” Liddon Lawson, of Clermont, Florida, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2026, at the age of 84. Chuck lived a life devoted to his faith, family, work, and country.
Born on May 27, 1942, in Marianna, Florida, Chuck was the son of William A. Lawson and Fleta May Lawson. He was raised in a hardworking family and learned the plumbing trade from his father, a profession that would remain an important part of his life for many years.
Chuck proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and carried the values of honor, discipline, and service with him throughout his life. After his military service, he returned to the family trade of plumbing while living in Covington, Kentucky. Following his return to Florida, he continued working in the plumbing industry before later retiring from a successful career as a Project Manager with Seminole County.
In 1964, Chuck married the love of his life, Linda Jean Day. Together they shared 51 years of marriage before Linda's passing in 2016. Their marriage was built on unwavering love, faith, commitment, and perseverance. While living in Kentucky, they experienced the heartbreaking loss of two children who passed away prematurely. They were later blessed with the birth of their daughter, Angela, in 1968. Chuck's greatest joys in life were his family, and in 1999 he was blessed again with the arrival of his grandson, Jimmy, who brought him immense pride and happiness.
Above all else, Chuck was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He adored his family and treasured every moment spent with them. His steady presence, quiet wisdom, and caring nature made him a source of strength and encouragement to those who knew him.
Chuck was a man of deep Christian faith and a lifelong believer in Jesus Christ. He loved the Lord and sought to live a life that reflected his faith through kindness, humility, integrity, and service to others. His trust in God sustained him through both life's blessings and hardships, and he found peace in the promises of Scripture. His family takes comfort in knowing that he has been welcomed into the presence of his Savior and reunited with his beloved Linda and other loved ones who preceded him in death.
Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Jean Lawson; his parents, William A. Lawson and Fleta May Lawson; his sister, Debra Fay Lawson; and his two infant children.
He is survived by his daughter, Angela; his grandson, Jimmy; his brother, William E. “Bill” Lawson and his wife, Charlene; as well as many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Chuck's legacy is one of faith, love, hard work, and devotion. He will be remembered as a man who loved his family deeply, served his country proudly, worked diligently throughout his life, and remained steadfast in his faith in the Lord.
Interment will take place at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida, where Chuck will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Linda.
