Charles Robert Carter was born on January 6, 1941, and went to be with Jesus on January 21, 2026, where he joins his wife, Darleen Carter in heaven. Known as "Bob" Carter, he was married to Darleen for 61 years. They met during their junior year on their college spring break trip to Florida in 1962. He is survived by his loving son, Robert Scott Carter ("Scott"), daughter-in-law, Dawn, and only grandson, Jacob, who reside in Groveland, Florida, his only sister, Kathy, and brother-in-law, Larry in Columbus, Ohio, and many cousins in Kansas City, Missouri.
Bob was born to the late Ina Brammer and Kelley Carter in Brookfield, MO. After graduating college at Illinois State University in1963 with a bachelor's degree in finance, Bob obtained an MBA at Northern Illinois University. He worked a majority of his career at Motorola, starting off as a financial planner, then later being a traveling project manager in the Midwest states for the towers providing the 2-way radios. He had a brilliant mind and excelled in future planning and organization.
Bob loved being outdoors and his hobbies included snowmobiling in Wisconsin and upper Michigan and boating at Lake Shangri-La, Wisconsin. His boating hobby continued when retiring to Cadiz, Kentucky in 1999 on Lake Barkley. There were also many family fall trips and Memorial Day family reunions in Kansas City. Bob shared many great memories with his wife, Darleen, on vacations to Puerto Rico, Jamaica, Turks and Caicos Islands, Bahamas and The Biltmore in Ashville, North Carolina. In 2021, Bob and Darleen moved to Citrus Hills, Florida to be closer to their son's family. Bob will always be known as a "family man" as he took great care of his family and has left a lasting legacy and impression on all our hearts.
