Our world was forever changed on Saturday, 8/13/2022, at 12:42 p.m. as our father passed to be with our Lord and Savior. Although we are heartbroken, we know he is in God's glory, restored, healed, and surrounded by His unsurpassed love and joy.
Charles was the best husband, father, and grandfather anyone could hope to have. He was hard-working, protective, selfless, devoted, sweet, loving, a jokester, and would not hesitate to sacrifice himself to ensure that his wife and family were taken care of.
He believed in simplicity and loved Jesus. He was our weather man, always updating us on rain, shine, and hurricanes. He always made sure we knew where to find the cheapest gas. If any of us mentioned something that we were interested in, ONE time, he would remember and find it for us. He worked 3rd shift throughout our school years to ensure he was available to drop-off and pick-up his daughters and continued to do the same for his grandchildren, even stepping in as a father figure when necessary.
He set high expectations for us, always reminding us to be leaders, not followers. Taught us strength, how to be critical thinkers, and modeled a strong work ethic. These lessons ultimately transformed his daughters into successful women. He lived his life on his terms and was surrounded by those who loved him until last breath.
We are blessed and will forever be grateful to have called Charles David Bermudez, our daddy or Daddy-o. Until we are together again, we love and miss you more than we can ever express.
