Charles Alvin Barker

July 5, 1936 - July 28, 2025

On July 28, 2025 Charles Alvin Barker, 89, went to meet Our Lord. Alvin, as most knew him,
passed peacefully at his home in Clermont, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his father and mother, C.W. and Bertha Barker, his brothers,
Carlton and Edward, his sister Barbara, and his sons, Charles and Brent Barker.
Alvin is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Ellen of Clermont, FL, his daughters, Tonya
Barker (Billy) of McDonald, TN, Carol Murphy Warner Robins, GA, and son, Bruce Barker
(Julie) of Fultondale, AL, step-daughters Debra Hodge, Clermont, FL and Tamaira (John)
Daddysman Orlando, FL. Brothers Jerry (Gayle) Barker, Byron, GA and Marshal Barker.
Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Alvin as a young man loved drag racing and kept his love of driving by being a long distant
truck driver for over fifty years, retiring in 2009. He was proud that he helped bring food to
families from coast to coast. He also loved old Chevy cars and trucks.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM August 30, 2025 at Burpee-Scott Funeral Home, 2932 Hwy 41 N, Ft. Valley, GA 31030.
