Carolynn Ann Petranoff, a loving wife and an extraordinary mother, passed away on July 31st, 2020. She was only 62 years old, but lived a life full of love and wonder. Although born in Canada, Carolynn moved to Illinois in her teenage years where she met her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Tom. They had a bond like no other that lasted 46 years, and will continue to transcend in her memory, as love has no boundaries, not even in death.
In their many years together, they lived in California, South Africa, Rhode Island, and Florida, where they raised and loved their four beautiful daughters. Carolynn loved her children more than life itself, and never missed an opportunity to let them know how proud she was of them. As they grew older and found love themselves, she welcomed the sons she never had, and found her greatest joy in her grandchildren. We know that there will be more grandchildren to come, and that she will be smiling down, and watching them as they grow, each one carrying a piece of her in their hearts.
Carolynn also loved her siblings, her siblings through marriage, her many nieces and nephews, cousins, in-laws, and friends. She will be remembered by her breathtaking beauty, her red hair, her loving and compassionate nature, her crafts, her selflessness, her otherworldly sixth sense, but most of all she will be remembered for her love.
