Obituary
Caroline Manderino (nee Bassi),
a former resident of Franklin Lakes, NJ and Boca Raton, FL, passed away on December 13 at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, FL. She enjoyed 16 years as a resident of King's Ridge and her last 2 years at Crane's View Lodge Assisted Living, both in Clermont, FL.
Born in Weehawken, NJ in 1925, she attended the Traphagen School of Design in NYC.
She and her husband, Salvatore, who passed away in 2009, owned General Auto Supply Co. and Midland Realty Co. in Garfield, NJ. Caroline was the first President of the Urban Farms Garden Club in Franklin Lakes, and continued her involvement in many civic and religious volunteer organizations in NJ, Boca Raton and Clermont, FL.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa M Sheridan (Dennis) of Seven Lakes, NC; her son, Louis A (Dr. Donna) of Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ; her grandson, Richard P Quinlan III (Dr. Nicole) of Danville, PA; her sister and brother-in-law, Dolores Sarta (Dick) and brother and sister-in-law, Joseph Puzino (Fran); and many nieces,
nephews, and dear friends.
Her brother, Leonard Bassi, predeceased her.
Becker Funeral Home in Clermont is handling arrangements for the family, and visitation will be held on Thursday, December 22 from 5-8pm. Her 'Mass of Resurrection' will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church in Winter Garden, FL, where she was a long-time parishioner and Past President of the Daughters of Mary, on Friday, December 23 at 11am.
Interment will be at Madonna Mausoleum, Fort Lee, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, her last wishes specified that donations to Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care (2445 Lane Park Rd, Tavares, FL 32778-9983) would be greatly appreciated.
