Carol June "Cotton" Richardson, 67, of Clermont, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024.  She was born October 3, 1956, in Talladega, AL.  She moved to Winter Garden at age three and was raised there.  She lived throughout the Winter Garden and Clermont area for entire life, most recently living in Clermont.  She was in Groveland when she passed away.

Carol is survived by all three of her children, Jeffrey Cotton, age 47 of Groveland and his wife Laura, Tony Boyette, age 37, of Brewton, AL, and Candy Richardson, age 35, of Clermont; ten grandkids, Kaylee Cotton, Mariah Ayala, Shelby Cotton, Alona Richardson, Tony Boyette, Anthony Richardson, Anyla Richardson, Dylanna Richardson, Lilly Arnold, and Abby Arnold; two great grandkids, Brentley McDaniel and Colby Cotton; four siblings, Clifford Cotton, Jerry Cotton, Sally Ricks, and Sandra Metts; three step children, Barbara Cox, Billy Wayne Richardson, and Summer Richardson; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Richardson; father, Clifford Cotton, Sr., mother, Martha Cotton; grand daughter, Mackenzie Wyatt; and two sisters, Connie Cotton and Barbara Richardson.

Anyone she encountered became her family so she was surrounded by an entire adopted community full of love and most knew her as "Granny."

Services will held at Vision Church, 7432 State Rd 50, Groveland, FL on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 11am.

A Celebration of Life will be held immediately after the service.  The address will be given out at the church.
