Carol Johnson Wolf, 84, Groveland, FL died April 30, 2011 at Leesburg Regional Medical Center. She was born April 11, 1927 in Jamestown, NY. Mrs. Wolf moved to Florida in 1990 following six years of being a "snowbird." She graduated from Bennett High School in Buffalo, NY in 1945. Then she became a member of the last class of the U.S. Nurse Cadet Corps at Flower-Fifth Avenue Hospital in New York. She retired in 1983 after working 30 years as a psychiatric registered nurse for New York State in Gowanda and Rochester, NY.



She was pre-deceased by her first husband of 18 years, Fredric Malec, in 1970; her sister, Marian Anderson, in 2001; and her second husband of 21 years, Frederick Wolf in 2006. She is survived by three daughters, Mary Lou (Dennis) Eiseline of Richmond, TX; Deborah Malec (Elliot Mazer) of Delanson, NY & Julie Malec of Guilderland Center, NY; three step-daughters, Kathleen (John) Scoville of Mentor, OH; Sharon Morrissey (Roy Maggioli) of Victor, NY; Laurie (Darrell) Smith of Wallace, WV; one step-son Anthony (Kathy) Wolf of Hiram, GA; two grandchildren, Stacy and Erica Eiseline; 10 step-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.



In Florida, Carol Wolf did volunteer work for The American Cancer Society, Hospice of Lake/Sumter Counties & six years for the LRMC Auxiliary.

The family has asked in lieu of flowers that donations be sent in Mrs. Wolf's memory to LRMC Hospital Foundation, 600 E. Dixie, Ave., Leesburg, FL 34748.



Mass of Christian Burial for Carol Wolf will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 720 12th Street, Clermont, FL. Very Reverend Robert E. Webster will celebrate the mass. Inurnment will be at a later date in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Gowanda, NY.
