Carmen "Carl" Abate, born in Pittston, Pennsylvania on December 24, 1923, passed away peacefully in Clermont, Florida on September 17, 2020.

After serving in the U.S. Army, he met his beautiful wife Irene. On July 24, 1949 they married in Bayside, NY.  In 1958 they moved to Miami, Florida and raised three children, Charles, Linda and Robert.  Carl and Irene had 71 wonderful years together.

He was a television & electronics technician.  He enjoyed fishing, western movies and playing poker at the Hard Rock Casino.  He was a Do-It-Yourself guy and always took pride in remodeling the family home.  He was always known to reach out and help neighbors, friends and family.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Irene, son, Charles, daughter, Linda Nunn and husband Tom, son Robert and wife Marsha.  He was the devoted grandfather of Tommy Nunn and wife Jaime, and Jennifer Osorio and husband Alex.  He's also survived by great grandsons Henry and Samuel Nunn. He's survived by his sister Pauline Deluca, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
