In Loving Memory of Carasia Baby Sharma
Carasia Baby Sharma, nee Persaud, passed away peacefully, having completed 82 years, on January 10, 2025. Born on March 26, 1942, in Vreed-en–Hoop, West Bank Demerara, Guyana. She is known as Norma to family and friends and to her nieces and nephews, Aunt Norma. She was once a beloved wife, sister, aunt, and friend.
She emigrated to New York in 1982 and became a naturalized citizen in January 1987 and after retiring in 2008, she moved to Florida. Her life was dedicated to her family and was a devoted Catholic. She is survived by her sister, Diana, and brothers, David, Gerald, Victor and Kenneth and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Doris, her brother Vincent, her beloved sister, Virginia, and niece, Monica.
Norma will be remembered for her warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering love for her family and friends. Her legacy of compassion, generosity, and dedication will continue to inspire all who knew her.
A celebration of Norma's life will be held on January 17, 2025, at 11.00 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Church of Clermont, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to America Needs Fatima. www.americaneedsfatima.org
